Latvia has produced several NHL players, including:
Arturs Irbe - considered to be the most successful Latvian NHL player, Irbe played as a goaltender for various teams, including the San Jose Sharks, Carolina Hurricanes, and Dallas Stars. He was the first Latvian to play in the NHL and was known for his acrobatic style in goal.
Zemgus Girgensons - drafted in the first round by the Buffalo Sabres in 2012, Girgensons is a forward known for his physical play and defensive abilities. He has represented Latvia in multiple international tournaments, including the Olympics.
Ronalds Kenins - a forward who played for the Vancouver Canucks, Kenins was known for his energy and physicality on the ice. He currently plays for the SC Bern in Switzerland.
